Do I need NVIDIA? (HELP!! D:)?
I had a computer tech upgrade me to windows 7 and everything works fine. I realized my built-in webcam wasn’t working so I went into the startup disk(for when it was vista) and the webcam works now.
Now I’m trying to hook up my tablet as a second monitor and it wont even allow the idea of a second screen, it use to before the upgrade. However I was using NVIDIA and now NVIDIA isn’t on my computer but I checked and the Driver for my normal laptop screen is NVIDIA! Do I need to get NVIDIA and how would I get it? Is there somewhere I can download and what edition do I need?

What it probably needs is a driver from NVIDIA. A driver is a piece of software which acts as translator between your operating system (Windows 7) and the hardware, in this case your graphics card (a NVIDIA GeForce 8700M GT).
You will need this driver to be able to utilize the full performance of a graphics card. Without it, Windows will fall back to a slow and limited ‘language’ without any fine controls over the video card or ability to access special features..
This driver was probably pre-installed with the old operating system, but Vista drivers do not work under Windows 7. You can download the latest drivers off the NVIDIA website here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us.
Be sure you select the correct make, model and version for both the graphics card and the operating system! Or, you could let it choose for you with Option 2, but sometimes this doesn’t work.
