how do i get my monitor to register my graphics card?
HI, ive just installed NVIDIA 5200 pci on my computer. However ever time i start the computer with the monitor plugged into the card itself, it starts to boot up, then the monitor simply dyes going for a green light to a orange, dead screen. i don’t know what to do, iv installed all the drivers and still nothing, any advise would be appreciated, thank you.
Try resetting CMOS. W/ PC unplugged, reset using the CMOS jumper pin switch on motherboard OR simply by removing CMOS battery for at least 30 sec. Then power ON PC. Press Del or F1 to open BIOS menu. Load fail-safe defaults, save and exit. PC should start normally.
It looks like your PC is still using on board video as priority graphics. Loading fail-safe defaults would usually prioritize the PCI graphics card. In case not, just set it in BIOS as priority graphics device.
