Hdmi Graphics Card
can i connect a DVI computer screen to a HDMI graphics card?
I am asking if I can connect my computer screen and graphics card using a DVI to HDMI cable. The DVI goes into the computer monitor and the HDMI to the graphics card.
There are adapters available to convert the plugs but be sure you get them the right way around, ideally you want the one that connects to your VGA card as that will have the stronger connection port and change the cable to fit the monitor/TV socket.
You should note that unless your Monitor is HD capable there will be no noticeable improvement in the screen display and as you are essentially just changing the cable type not the output type there will be no improvement anyway, you need a monitor with a dedicated HDMI interface socket to improve screen clarity otherwise you are just wasting your time and money.
