Any Teens Out There Interested in Graphic Novels?

I’ve recently read Persepolis and Persepolis 2 and now I’m very interested in graphic novels. I’m looking into Maus, Palestine, Epileptic, Blankets, and other “alternative comics”. I’m not too interested in superhero comics or manga (I’ve tried reading them, but I guess I just don’t like them), but as a teenager, this is pretty much what everyone else at school is reading (if they read comics in the first place). So I was just wondering…any teens out there who read graphic novels (and any recommendations?). I feel kind of lost being pretty much the only person in my high school who has read Persepolis.

I liked the Elric series and Druuna.
