Rally Car Graphics
What should i get, Gran Turismo 5 or Forza 3?
Some things i kinda want to know is if they have different racing modes like rally and stuff like that. also if they have any custimization of cars or anything. how many cars. graphics. i like rally so maybe one has more rally than the other. idk much about these games yet but i want to buy one of them.
Wow, Forza with a whopping 124 cars while Gran Turismo 5 will have over 800 and these guys say no contest.
Gran Turismo 5 is for the hardcore racer and is nothing but technical racing. That means very little visual customization (not what the game is about), 100% track racing, and racing “the right way” which means you only succeed by taking the corners the proper way, braking the proper way, accelerating the proper way. The only customization is the actual settings on the car (spring rates, transmission gear ratios, brake balance, ride height, etc.) so Gran Turismo is an extremely technical game. Not exactly a game you can just “pick up and play” if you’ve never played Gran Turismo.
Forza appeals to a broader audience since you can customize the looks of the car a lot more and is easier to play/more user friendly.
It SEEMS more realistic to some because their damage modeling offers more damage (one reason why it doesn’t have that many cars). However, nobody gets more realistic than Gran Turismo. Nobody puts in as much time as Polyphony Digital does when it comes to vehicle data and all the details of the cars and tracks. This is a game where you can drive a 2004 WRX STi as if it was the same STi that is sitting in your driveway. The top car magazine editors and world racecar drivers praise the game’s realism with each new release. Sure you don’t get a lot of damage, if at all, but Gran Turismo wants to offer a vast automobile library to the player and you can’t do that when you offer extensive damage.
