White Graphics
PLEASE my friend says since I dont have the White DVI cable going to my monitor my graphics card isnt being?
used? is that true? Im using a standard blue cable, I have no clue what hes talking about, I have 2 GB shared vid mem and 512 dedicated he said that its a waste? I only paid $600 cause of a store error so either way Its still a great machine uad too, but is my graphics card being wasted?
The only real reason that you NEED to use the DVI cable is if you are watching digital content on your computer. Things like Netflix that require HDCP (encryption/protection) can only be played through connections with DVI. As far as standard use a VGA (blue) cable is more than sufficient. The cable you use has nothing to do with the utilization of the graphics card.
